Have you ever try to add a Custom Shape to Microsoft Word 365? MS Word has a small library of shapes that can be added to a document. However, these shapes are mostly enough while making process flow diagrams in a document. Also, they’re smart and group together so that your document looks orderly and there are no alignment problems.
By default, The shapes of their own which enable you to apply an outline, fill a color, drop shadow, glow, and other effects. They might be limited but as a feature, they’re brilliant for mapping processes and ideas.
Custom shape in Microsoft Word
The custom shape will be added as an image file. However, the shape should ideally be an SVG image with proper transparency where required.

Create a custom shape
Once you have the image you are using as a custom shape, you can convert it into shape.
Head over to the Microsoft Word document that you want to add the custom shape in.
Move to the Insert tab on the ribbon and choose Picture>This Device.
Choose the image and put it into the document.
Pick the image in the document, and move to the Graphics Format tab on the ribbon.
On the Graphics Format tab, choose ‘Convert to Shape’.
When an image is changed into shape. Simply you can apply styles to it. By default, the styles are preset in MS Word but within those presets, the are so many that you can customize like the color.
If you want to apply a style,
Choose the shape so that a box appears around it.
Move to the Shape Format tab.
Pick a style from the Shape Styles box of controls. Simply use the dropdowns located next to the styles to modify the colors used on/in the shape.
