  1. install or DownloadIrfanView.
  2. Then head over to the font file in IrfanView.
  3. If the app can b able to preview the font without any bugs, then make sure the file is not corrupt.
  4. But in case, if the file does not open, or it opens but some characters can’t render, then there is an issue with the file. Simply try to download or install it again, or using a different font.

Check font type

Font files aren’t the same format. There are 3 most popular font formats. Such as TrueType, OpenType, and Web Open Font Format. All three are compatible with Windows 10. If your font type is quite different or else you’ve used an online tool to change a font to one of the compatible types. Then it is highly likely that it can’t be detected. Simply use a different font.
