Whenever you’ve connected your screens, it’s time to resolve their resolution. Follow the steps to set different resolutions for dual monitors:

  • Head over to the Settings app and move to the System group of settings. Choose the Display tab and make sure Windows 10 is detecting all connected screens.
  • Tap the ‘Identify‘ link under the detected displays. As it’ll help you identify which monitor is which.
  • Then dive down this same tab and then tap ‘Advanced display settings‘.
  • From the Advanced display settings screen, choose the monitor you like to change the resolution for.

  • Now you should know which monitor is which from the initial step. Whenever you skipped it, there is an Identify link on the display screen too. Simply use it to check your monitor.

  • Head over to the Resolution dropdown and choose the recommended (or higher) resolution for the display. Tap Apply.
  • When a prompt appears to keep or revert the change, tap ‘Keep‘.
