For devices that are not running Windows 10, you guys can still share files over the network actually. The only problem is that there’s a bug in Windows 10 1803 where network devices do not actually appear in File Explorer. Microsoft is also aware of this bug and there is a fix for network devices not showing in File Explorer as well. If you want to change the Startup type, double-tap the service when you find it in the list. This will then open its properties window as well. Head to the General tab, and then open the ‘Startup type’ dropdown. Choose the ‘Automatic (Delayed Startup) option, and tap on Apply.

You have to change the Startup Type for each and every single service that is listed above. When you do that, then restart your PC. This is not a step that you can skip actually.

When you restart your PC, open File Explorer, and tap on Network on the navigation panel. Your network devices should then start to appear now, and you will be able in order to share and access files from them.

This basically applies to devices that are not running Windows 10 1803, or any version of Windows like a network drive, or a Mac or Linux PC on the network as well. If all of your devices still do not appear in File Explorer. Then make sure that they are connected properly to the network, and wherever applicable. Check to make sure sharing and network discoverability have turned on for all of them or not.

It is also worth checking to make sure the device can be accessed over the network actually. Such as, an iPhone simply cannot be accessed over the network so do not expect it to show up in File Explorer just because it is connected to the same network actually.

However, other devices will now show up in File Explorer, you will still have to enter a username and password in order to access files on them as well.
