Premium comparison: can the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + compete against the new iPhone 11 Pro Max?

Apple introduced a few days ago the new iPhone 11 Pro Max with many new features focused mainly on the camera and the time has come to compare it with what has always been its great rival: the Samsung Galaxy Note. The latest version of the Samsung terminal was released a few days ago and we will compare the specifications of both devices.

iPhone 11 Pro Max against the Samsung Galaxy Note10 +

These are the two largest terminals of Apple and Samsung and they have the best specifications of brand poop.

Before going into details, here is the comparative table of specifications of the iPhone XS Max and the Samsung Galaxy Note10 + .

Design

It is probably the most subjective of the whole comparison. Both terminals opt for a design that mixes metal and glass, something that has been common in the high-end in recent years. Of course, Apple uses stainless steel on its iPhone, a more premium and more durable material than the aluminum used by Samsung.

Perhaps what attracts the most attention is the camera device, Samsung is committed to a line of cameras covered and Apple to have three cameras as close as possible. The colors are also somewhat different, ignoring the black and white classics, Apple has opted this year for a new green tone and Samsung for a finish that depending on the light will look one color or another.

As for the front, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 + achieves smaller frames than the iPhone 11 Pro Max thanks to its curved screen and the absence of the notch. Probably in this section, the Samsung device looks better.

Screen

It is very likely that we are facing the two best screens on the market, we must wait for the first analysis of the iPhone 11 Pro Max panel to confirm it. Apple has opted for a 6.5-inch OLED panel, with a resolution of 2,688 x 1,242 pixels that leaves us with a density of 458 ppi. Samsung has used a somewhat larger panel on its Galaxy Note10 + that reaches 6.7 inches with 3,040 x 1,440 pixels and 498 ppi.

The Super Retina XDR screen of the iPhone 11 Pro Max incorporates two new levels of brightness, will reach up to 800 nits when you are in the sun and up to 1,200 nits when you see photos and videos in extreme dynamic range. We also have a 2,000,000: 1 contrast, a wide color range, and technologies such as True Tone or Night Shift, and all-consuming 15% less. For its part, the Samsung screen is compatible with HDR10 + and has support for the DCI-P3 color spectrum.

Remember that the iPhone 11 Pr Max screen is manufactured by Samsung but under the guidelines of Apple. However, it is very likely that in this aspect we have a technical tie.

Cameras

The cameras are becoming the great battle of today’s smartphones and companies struggle to improve this aspect with each new device. The iPhone 11 pro-Max has three lenses, angular, wide-angle and telephoto, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ adds a ToF sensor.

Apple dedicated much of the presentation to the new cameras and everything indicates that the iPhone 11 Pro Max will be at the top of the ladder of the current smartphone in terms of photography, however, we will have to wait to see these photos in different analyzes to be able to buy.

Processor

Both Apple and Samsung manufacture their own processors, the iPhone 11 Pro max features the A13 Bionic and the Samsung Galaxy Note10 + with the Exynos 9825. Both are amazing processors, but the Samsung practically ties with the A12 Bionic processor a year ago, So in terms of power, Apple seems to be ahead with its A13 Bionic.

Drums

Comparing batteries between iOS and Android devices is difficult since each system is different. iOS manages to be much more energy-efficient and manages to take more advantage even if the battery is lower. In this case, the numbers are 3,500 mAh for the iPhone and 4,300 mAh for the Samsung.

However, Apple’s improvement in the battery this year promises a lot and the company says you’ll get an extra 5 hours of autonomy on the iPhone 11 Pro Max if we compare it with the iPhone XS Max. Both brands credit about 20 hours in video playback, so in the absence of evidence, you have a technical draw again.

Price

We reach the end and we have to talk about the price, both devices are not only the largest but they are also more expensive than both Apple and Samsung. These are the official prices marked by each company:

  • iPhone 11 Pro Max: from 1,259 euros.
  • Samsung Galaxy Note10 +: from 1,109 euros.

  • What a completely prejudiced article, I have an iPhone but was looking for an honest comparison !

So at one point we can only go with the numbers but when they stack against the iPhone we “wait and see????”

This article shows clearly that the samsung is better than the iPhone in the battery ” since usage is everything and that depends on the user – all OS;s will claim they are more efficient, so you can only go with the capacity”

Also, better in Price, Pixel density and the very fact the the note 10 has a Pen !!! so instead of trying to make a better phone to match you just gloss over it or blatantly lie ??!!

I love the iphone series, but I think unless apple starts looking at its competitors, that edge will slowly fade and people will start moving towards the Android.
