Today, September 13, the new Apple iPhone models are now available for reservation. The iPhone 11 can be purchased from 809 euros, the iPhone 11 Pro for 1,159 euros and the iPhone 11 Pro Max from 1,259 euros.
But, for that price, it is important to think about it before buying a smartphone. That is why in this article we will focus on the most negative of Apple’s iPhone 11 line. We will talk about what is missing from the new smartphones, what Apple needs to improve and why you should wait or choose another device. That is, today we will give you five reasons not to buy the iPhone 11 Pro.
Why not buy an iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max?
1. Its exorbitant price
It is the main reason why many consumers do not dare to buy a new smartphone. Or rather we should define it as a price-need ratio. Everyone has a smartphone, and it is up to everyone to decide if their mobile phone is enough to renew or not, in this case, with an iPhone 11 Pro based on their tastes and / or needs.
But, however it may be, we do not know when we reached the point where paying more than 1,000 euros for a mobile phone is something “right.” Let’s keep in mind that a decade ago we paid less than 100 euros for a Nokia mobile phone. Yes, technology advances and prices are rising. But the price of the first iPhone models was around $500. Have we really advanced enough to pay more than double now? How far will we go in the near future? Will we have to pay 2,000 euros for the iPhone 20? And most important of all, will you pay more than 1,000 euros just to use WhatsApp, Instagram, and YouTube?
2. It has no 5G technology
If you are buying an iPhone 11 Pro for more than 1,000 euros, the least you can ask for is that it has the most innovative technology and the most advanced hardware components on the market. And Apple mobile phones do not meet any of the premises. And one of the most requested features in 2019 is the support of 5G connectivity. If you buy the iPhone 11 Pro now, you will become obsolete and out of the 5G world.
3. A great notch and a 2017 design
We came to one of my favorite reasons for NOT buying an iPhone 11 Pro. In fact, for not buying any of the last 7 iPhone models. Apple remains committed to offering, year after year, the same smartphone design. A touch up here, a touch up there, new colors, one more camera … and a new mobile phone. But the truth is that Apple has been repeating the same design for three years.
Not to mention the horrible notch on the front of the device. Mind you, we deeply respect those consumers who like the notch or have just become accustomed to it. But to me, personally, it seems impractical, not very functional and, obviously, of a horrible visual aesthetic. Why not innovate like Samsung and other manufacturers? This year there was no excuse.
Hey, and don’t make me talk about the triple camera, please …
4. Nor does it have USB-C
While the entire mobile phone industry seems to move into the future with USB-C, Apple is still stuck in its USB Lightning port. What we do not understand in any way is if the new iPad Pro third generation already has a USB-C port, why have not decided to do it with your iPhone 11 Pro. Wasn’t it so Pro …?
5. Lack of “Pro” functions
And finally, this year’s “Pro” nomenclature seems not to be very justified. While it does make sense in the iPad Pro, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max are missing a lot of productivity benefits to earning that name. We talk about support for Apple Pencil, multitasking, USB-C and much more.
These are some of the reasons why you should think twice before buying an iPhone 11 Pro or an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Now, with the iPhone 11, it is another song, it is an economically more affordable smartphone and we are sure that it will play a good role replacing your current model. Be that as it may, although we have shared these reasons for not buying, there are also many other reasons to buy it. Take a good look at the best features and functions of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro to learn more about its design, its materials, its hardware, and its software features.
