Major OnePlus 7T leaks A Large Rear Camera Module

OnePlus 7 has only three months, but this does not prevent the creation of a successor. According to reports, the new device will be marketed as OnePlus 7T and will debut in late September. But today, when more than a month is missing, the Steve Hemmerstoffer tipster is back with a new CAD-based rendering that shows what is meant as the final design of the flagship.

A drastically redesigned camera module and an additional sensor

Confirming the recent design rumors, the current OnePlus 7T rendering shows the presence of a huge circular camera module. It hosts an updated configuration that will certainly help maintain a competitive advantage over competing devices.

Like OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T seems to be ready to adopt a triple rear camera setting. Even if it is aligned horizontally instead of vertically. This is combined with a dual-LED flash that seems a bit bigger than the OnePlus 7 alternative. The specifications and features of each sensor have not yet been revealed. But one of the cameras must land coupled with a telephoto lens or a superlens. On the other hand, the remaining ones will probably act as the main camera and a depth sensor. Moreover, to make things unique, OnePlus has separated the cameras with a series of angular lines.

The rear panel, as expected, is carved from a single glass plate and also houses the OnePlus logo. However, today’s renderings suggest that the “OnePlus” brand at the bottom could be removed on the OnePlus 7T.

An important change has been made to the screen

For the rear panel, OnePlus 7T is almost indistinguishable at first sight from OnePlus 7. And in turn, it looks a lot like last year’s OnePlus 6T. This similarity can be attributed to the presence of a notched front screen combined with equally thin frames. And a large speaker grille in the upper part. However, a major change has been made.

According to information by Hemmerstoffer, OnePlus 7T will feature a 6.5-inch screen that will probably be an AMOLED optical panel. This is a bit larger than the 6.4-inch screen found on the OnePlus 7. And of course, it means the next flagship will be a little bigger. For reference, the OnePlus 7 measures 157.7 x 74.8 x 8.2 mm. While the subsequent dimensions of the OnePlus 7T are 161.2 x 74.5 x 8.3 mm.

The aluminum frame of the OnePlus 7T does not look any different than the one found in the OnePlus 7. On the right side is the power button and the company Alert slider, the left side houses a volume control. The upper part of the phone, on the other hand, seems to house a microphone. The lower part has a USB-C port, the SIM card tray, and a second microphone.

A OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition may be coming

In addition to the standard OnePlus 7T, Hemmerstoffer suggested the existence of a OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition. The details on this model are still scarce right now, but it will probably include Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus inside with 12 GB of RAM and potentially 512 GB of internal memory. To accompany all this should be Android 10 and the latest version of the Oxygen OS directly from the factory.

OnePlus 7T McLaren Edition will be compatible with 4G LTE networks. But OnePlus may also choose to include 5G connectivity in the hope of better differentiating the normal device model. Regarding the battery capacity, the exact number has not yet been revealed. However, it should be a little higher than the 3,700 mAh battery found inside last year’s McLaren model. Because this year’s phone will be a little bigger. Support for OnePlus 30W Warp Charge technology is also provided.
