Samsung Is Working On A Motorola Razr Folding Phone

The Galaxy Fold is only a few weeks away, but it seems that Samsung is already preparing another folding smartphone that will present a completely new design. However, its launch depends largely on the success of Samsung’s first offer.

Samsung’s second folding may look like a foldable phone

The South Korean giant is developing a new folding screen with a 6.7-inch screen that contracts into a square when folded inward like the next Motorola Razr. This will have a small hole for the selfie camera, just like the Galaxy Note 10, which will be combined with a dual-camera configuration located outside the phone. The latter will be facing the rear when it opens.

Most people currently interested in folding smartphones are fans of technology. For this reason, according to reports, Samsung is collaborating with American design Thom Browne on the device to expand its appeal and attract consumers in fashion and luxury. A person familiar with the issue also suggests that the next Samsung fold will be cheaper and noticeably thinner than the Galaxy Fold. According to reports, to achieve this, the company is testing ultra-thin glass (UTG) for the 6.7-inch screen, although the reliability of the phone is the top priority.

According to reports, Samsung’s second-generation flyer to launch in early 2020 if everything goes as planned, perhaps together with the Galaxy S11 series. However, the launch of the phone is not yet authorized. This is because it can depend heavily on the success of the Galaxy Fold after its launch later this month.

At this stage, it is unclear what internal Samsung hardware has planned for the phone, but it seems likely that Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 865 with 5G support is very likely. This should be combined with Android 10 directly and the recently leaked Samsung One UI 2.0 update. Furthermore, due to the typical proportions of the second-generation model, applications should work perfectly in their native form instead of requiring extensive changes, such as Galaxy Fold.

When will the original Galaxy Fold be released? What does it offer?

Few months after discovering some serious design flaws and subsequently delaying the launch of Galaxy Fold indefinitely. Samsung finally seems to be preparing for device shipments. The South Korean giant has recently opened records in a handful of countries. It includes the US but has not yet confirmed the exact release date. However, according to Evan Blass tipster, the launch will take place on Friday 27 September.

The first Samsung foldable, for the uninitiated, features a 7.3-inch dynamic AMOLED screen. It supports HDR10 + content and a resolution of 2152 x 1536p. This is the combination of a compact 4.6-inch Super AMOLED panel. And 21: 9 that has a resolution of 1680 x 720p.

The $ 1980 premium price of the Galaxy Fold is surprisingly combined with a long list of premium internal hardware. In particular, the device works with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. There is 12 GB of RAM and an impressive 512 GB internal memory. But unlike most other Samsung smartphones, microSD expansion is not supported.

As for the camera department, the Galaxy Fold has a total of six cameras. Three of these sit vertically in the back and are identical to the rear sensor of the Galaxy S10. This means that there is a 12-megapixel main camera. It is accompanied by a 12-megapixel telephoto lens that supports a 2x zoom. And a 16-megapixel zoom along with an ultra-wide-angle lens. Add to this a 10-megapixel snapper selfie. An 8-megapixel depth sensor located inside the notch in the corner of the screen. Another 10-megapixel camera located above the external screen.
