US Prosecutors Investigate Huawei For Alleged Theft Of Trade Secrets

In January, the US Department of Justice issued an indictment of 13 charges against Huawei. It is relating to business done by the company with Iran. The country was subject to economic sanctions in the US. Huawei, two of its affiliates (Huawei Device USA and Skycom Tech). And CFO Meng Wanzhou has been accused of committing various crimes, including bank fraud. The company was also criminally accused of stealing the technology belonging to a T-Mobile test robot called “Tappy”. Huawei had previously lost a civil lawsuit on this issue and had been ordered to pay $4.8 million to the wireless operator.

Yesterday, it was reported that US prosecutors are investigating allegations. That Huawei has stolen the intellectual property of “multiple people and companies” in recent years. Furthermore, there are questions regarding the way the Chinese manufacturer has captured employees of competing companies. The report states that the new investigation covers parts of Huawei’s activities that are in it during the previous investigation. In May, the newspaper listed a series of illegal acts committed by Huawei. It includes the theft of smartphone camera technology from a Portuguese company. The investigation has nothing to do with Huawei being in the entity list

Huawei is currently on the list of entities of the US Department of Commerce. It prevents you from accessing the US supply chain. The big news this week is that the team’s most advanced smartphone series. The Mate 30, to launch without the Google Play version of Android to install. This means that the main apps of Google and Google Play Store will not appear on any of the Mate 30 lines. The company has already said that it will not use its HarmonyOS in high-end units. And that it may have to resort to the use of a code version Android open for these phones. This would be similar to the forked version of the operating system used by Amazon for its Fire and Fire Phone 2014 tablets.

Previous allegations against Huawei and the new investigation have nothing to do with the inclusion of Huawei in the entity list. The company received this dubious “honor” because the Chinese communist government can turn to it at any time for information. This has led to rumors over the years, always denied by the company. That their phones, tablets and network equipment contain backdoors just waiting for the word to send information to Beijing. As a result, Huawei is a threat to national security in the US. This seems quite similar to the company’s bonus system, which is to carefully go through by the US authorities. As per the policy, in 2013, Huawei employees are assigning a special Huawei internal email address and where to use it to send the competition information to earn bonuses. The company is also informing Huawei employees that it was their responsibility to obtain this information.

5G Networks

Huawei is the second smartphone manufacturer in the world and is the world leader in the supply of network equipment. The US has also warning its allies not to use Huawei equipment to build its own 5G networks. Although many of the larger European countries do not pay attention to this warning.
