Analyzing the final release of iOS

During the last years, Apple is following the same launch pattern. In the WWDC of June, the new operating systems are presented, throughout the summer the betas are updated and improved and after the presentation of the new iPhone in September, their systems are released officially for all users.

To know when iOS 13 will come out officially we will analyze the launch dates of recent years.

  • iOS 12 . Keynote presentation of the iPhone XS: Wednesday September 12, 2018. iOS 12 release: Monday September 17, 2018 .
  • iOS 11 . Keynote of presentation of the iPhone X: Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Release of iOS 11: Tuesday, September 19, 2017 .
  • iOS 10 . Keynote presentation of the iPhone 7: Thursday, September 8, 2016. iOS 10 release: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 .
  • iOS 9. Keynote presentation of the iPhone 7: Wednesday, September 9, 2015. iOS 10 release: Wednesday, September 16, 2015 .

As you can see, in recent years, the new version of iOS has never been delayed more than 7 days since the introduction of the new iPhone. Also as you can see, the presentation of the new iPhone is usually the second week of September, and it is never a Monday or a Friday.

Analyzing this data from previous years, and looking at the 2019 calendar, we observe that it is most likely that Apple will present its new iPhone the week that goes from 9 to September 15. In this way, most likely, Apple will present its iPhone XI on September 10, 11 or 12, 2019, although seeing Apple’s fixation lately with day 12, it should not be downloaded on Thursday, September 12.

With these dates in mind, it is likely that iOS 13 and iPadOS will be released officially on Monday, September 16 or Tuesday, September 17, about a week after the iPhone XI was introduced. In any case they are only speculations taking into account previous releases, even so, the odds are very high.
