Apple Music has just advanced in number of users to Spotify in the US

The competition in the streaming music market is fierce with many companies trying to promote their products, but among them, two stands out: Spotify and Apple Music. Both are the platforms that more users of payment have and the rivalry is becoming increasingly harsh, at least on the part of Spotify that has sued Apple recently.

The growth of Apple Music has been very fast and according to reports The Wall Street Journal, Apple Music has just exceeded the number of subscribers paid to Spotify in the United States.

Apple Music

Apple Music has 2 million paid users more than Spotify

According to the information reflected by the newspaper, the growth of Apple Music has been higher since its birth to that of Spotify in the US, which has led Apple’s platform to overcome the Swedish music service.

“APPLE MUSIC HAS BEEN ADDING SUBSCRIBERS TO THE WORLD’S LARGEST MUSIC MARKET FASTER THAN ITS SWEDISH RIVAL, SPECIFICALLY WITH A MONTHLY GROWTH RATE OF 2.6% TO 3%, COMPARED TO 1.5% – 2 % OF SPOTIFY “

With this data, from the end of February, Apple Music would supposedly have 28 million subscribers in the United States, while Spotify would be 2 million behind with 26 million. This is mainly due to a growth rate that doubles that of Spotify.

Of course, this report details that Spotify still has more users in total than Apple because the service has free accounts in exchange for advertising and that is difficult to compete.

This is a small victory important for Apple in the services market. As with the new Apple TV +, the Cupertino company was not the first to arrive but is gaining ground very quickly. Maybe the same thing happens with your video service.
