Confirmed, WhatsApp is already testing an app for iPad

A few years ago, when the iPad was launched, the App Store was not populated with apps dedicated to the tablet. On many occasions, and while there was no adapted version, we were forced to use iPhone apps expanded badly. However, for a while, we had access to an app that we have missed a lot since they decided to focus solely on the iPhone. WhatsApp, the instant messaging app par excellence.

However, the days without a native app for the iPad are numbered. In a while, we will not have to use tricks to read and respond to the messages we receive every day on our phone. This is because, finally, the development team of the platform seems to be testing a version designed especially for the Apple tablet. One that we will not have to expand to be able to use correctly on a large screen like the iPad Pro.

WhatsApp

Thanks to the information they have shared from WABetaInfo, we have learned that development versions of this adaptation are already circulating. This could mean that the launch of the app will not take much longer, at least it should not. As in the mobile version, we would have the possibility to send messages, make calls, and create states, so we can expect that a large part of the functionalities is available.

For now, we can only hope that the WhatsApp team does not take too long to make this version public. In theory, users who are adherent to the beta program that enabled at the time through TestDrive may access the app beforehand with iPad support, although for now nothing is known. In any case, at least we can confirm that this version exists and that it is closer than ever.
