Have you ever noticed how Snapchat profiles have an attached score? They are a strange number that many people do not know the purpose. All they know is that the more snapshots they send, the higher their score increases. Sending snapshots is a fairly simple way to increase your score, but what really makes that score and how does it increase faster? After all, some Snapchat users have scored higher than hundreds of thousands. It may seem impossible to get your score, but don’t worry, there are at least a couple of ways you can get your score moving quite quickly.
How To Find And Increase Your Snapchat Score
All Snapchat users have a score in the app. Your friends can see your Snapchat score and, similarly, you can see theirs. This score is basically an indication of your activity very similar to karma in Reddit, or any other kind of influence that a social media app/service uses.

Find score
Open Snapchat.
Tap your profile icon in the upper left corner of the camera screen.
Look under your Snapcode and you will see your username and a number next to it. This number is your Snapchat score. If you tap the number, two more numbers will be displayed which are the number of snapshots you have sent and received.
To see your friends’ Snapchat score, tap Friends on the same screen as the previous one and access a list of all your friends. Tap a friend’s icon and your profile will open showing your score. You cannot touch it and reveal how many snapshots you have sent and received.

Increase Score
As with most social networks, many users are interested in increasing their score. To increase it, the users of the app must be active in it. Its activity, namely sending and opening snapshots is what leads to increasing the score, among other things.
There is no definitive list of actions that will increase your score, but sending snapshots (which are duly opened) and opening those you received will surely increase it.
The score does not seem to depend on factors such as the amount of “views” obtained in a story, but since there is nothing official about the subject, it may or may not have any impact. The purpose of the score is mainly to show how active a user is. For some, a high score could be something to aspire to consider an open complement is what counts for the score and indicates a level of social interaction, i.e. the content sent is displayed. For those who use Snapchat as a business tool, scoring is a somewhat impartial indicator of their activity and the influence they have.
In the end, it’s really a metric on social media that doesn’t mean much. You will not mention your Snapchat score in a job resume and it certainly does not seem to unlock any special features.
