For the first time since being on the US Department of Commerce’s list of Entities on May 16, Huawei is introducing a new flagship series. Since its inclusion in the list prevents the Chinese manufacturer from accessing its US supply chain. The company cannot install the main Google Android applications, such as Play Store, YouTube, Maps and Chrome on the Mate 30 line. Huawei EMUI 10, preloaded on its new flagships, is based on the open-source Android version AOSP.
The head of Huawei’s consumer group, Richard Yu, states that Huawei is ready to act if it is to remove from the list and once again authorizing to purchase components and software from US companies. In this scenario, it is possible to disclose a software update to add Google services and apps “overnight”. But if Huawei to be in the list for security reasons, as mentioned by President Donald Trump in May, how could Yu think that Huawei could access its supply chain in the US? This is because Trump also suggested that Huawei could be used as a currency to help the US get better terms from China in a trade agreement. And Yu believes that this is the real reason why Huawei was expelled from the US supply chain in which he spent $11 billion last year.

Huawei plans to send 20 million phones belonging to the Mate 30 series
The trade war between the US and China came about because of China’s huge trade surplus with the US. In an attempt to reduce this deficit, the president-imposed tariffs on Chinese imports; But the tariffs are simply imported taxes and China does not pay a single cent to the US thanks to the US companies pay the tax and, if they wish, they can transfer the additional costs to American consumers in the form of higher prices. So, yes, American companies and consumers are the ones who pay for this trade war. Starting this month, 25% of tariffs have been imposed on a new level of products from China that includes Apple Watch and AirPods. And starting December 15th, the iPhone will have to pay taxes. This is because Apple products, although designed in California, are mainly manufactured in China.
Therefore, the possibility exists that if both countries can reach a new trade agreement, Huawei could be removed from the list of entities. But we must remember that society is considering a threat to national security in the states. This is because the communist government in China can ask Huawei to spy on its name at any time. Some believe that Huawei devices contain a backdoor. It will send information to Beijing at the request of the administration of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The company plans to send up to 20 million Mate 30 phones
Despite the lack of Google services and applications, Yu says the company plans to send up to 20 million Mate 30 phones, mainly to domestic buyers. Huawei had the Mate 30 series and in particular. The Mate 30 Pro, to help it overcome Samsung. And become the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer for the fourth quarter of this year. Now, that goal seems a remote possibility for this year.
Originally, Huawei expected to send 300 million phones in 2019, compared to 206 million phones sent in 2018. During the first half of this year, the company delivered 118 million phones. In China, a wave of patriotism has some consumers leaving their iPhones and buying Huawei phones. For example, during the second quarter, Huawei sent 37.3 million phones. It’s more than twice those delivered by Oppo in second place. This was a strong 31% year-on-year gain for Huawei.
