Samsung To Copy Apple’s New Camera Technology For The Galaxy S11. Last month, a few days after Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 series, the Ice Universe expert (@ UniverseIce) warned interested consumers to choose one of the new models. In a tweet, the informant wrote: “The S11 camera will bring something that has never been seen before. Samsung fans, if you care about the camera, please skip Note10″. And Ice Universe followed him with another tweet last week, explaining what he was talking about in August. According to him, Samsung is developing something similar to the Deep Fusion feature that Apple introduced for the camera system in the 2019 iPhones.
Deep Fusion uses a total of 9 images. Four images taken with quick exposure and four secondary images are captured even before the shutter release is touched. Pressing the shutter button takes a picture with prolonged exposure. In one second, the A13 Bionic SoC neural engine analyzes the combined images, crossing 24 million pixels to create the best-detailed image with the least possible noise. Pixel 3’s HDR + also combines several images (capture 15 frames) but averages multiple exposures to produce the final photo. As Apple points out, Deep Fusion is the first technology. It assigns a neuronal engine the task of producing the final image.
Samsung Galaxy S11 upgrade
If the ice universe is correct, we should see a considerable upgrade of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series rear cameras. It can be presented in February when the MWC 2020 is scheduled. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10+ feature a triple camera setup. It includes a 12 MP main camera with a variable f / 1.5-f / 2.4 aperture. A 12 MP camera with 2x optical zoom and an ultra-wide-angle 16 MP camera. At the moment it is not clear if the manufacturer would include a feature similar to Deep Fusion in a Galaxy S11e model.
