Apple News Plus Reaches 200 Thousand Subscribers in 48 Hours

Days after the last Apple Event in which different services were revealed for Apple users, one of the Apple News Plus obtained 200 thousand subscribers in a span of two days. It is contemplated that in total there are more than one billion active users between iOS and macOS, the percentage of use of Apple News Plus is 0.02%.

Apple News Plus gets a good reception in the US and Canada

Recall that this service is born from the original idea of Apple News, gather all the content in writing of the best means of communication. The aggregate is more than 300 magazines of different themes, National Geographic, Vogue, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker, to name a few.

The subscription has a price of 9.99 dollars and 12.99 Canadian dollars. The innovative aspect of this service is the way the magazines are presented. In the Keynote we could appreciate its operation, something that does not compare to the online magazines that can be seen as if it were a PDF.

The advantage of Apple News Plus is that you will gather all the magazine content in one place and on several Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac).

Can it expand around the world?

Apple promised that this service would reach the United Kingdom and Australia very soon, so we do not rule out that it could reach other countries. The main hitch of the service at the beginning is a free month.

Everything will be that Apple can do business with several publishers of media and magazines in each country where you want to go. If the deal and the benefits are fair, Apple News Plus could expand. One of the problems that were considered according to rumors is that the editors of newspapers and magazines in the US did not agree on the percentage of benefits. In the end, Apple made the necessary agreements.

Time will tell if this service continues to grow and if it can reach other countries, such as Spain and countries in Latin America.
