How To Fix Discord No Route Error

Discord No Route

Restart The Router

The router, quite similar to PC, can run into random issues that can be correct with a simple restart. You just want physical access to the router.

Step 1:

Simply locate the router power button.

Step 2:

Hit and hold it for few seconds then release the button.

Step 3:

Wait for a while.

Step 4:

Hit the power button again to enables the router.

Step 5:

Head over to your PC, and then restart it.

Step 6:

Open Discord and choose the voice server you like to connect to.

Flush DNS

Just try to flush the DNS. If there’s an issue with the network settings on your PC, the DNS flush might resolve it.

Step 1:

Head over to the Command Prompt.

Step 2:

Execute the following command.

ipconfig /flushdns
Step 3:

Then quit or open Discord.

Step 4:

Now connect or plug to the voice channel.

Renew IP Address

It is quite similar to flushing the DNS, renewing the IP address can also fix this error.

Step 1:

Head over to the Command Prompt.

Step 2:

Execute the following command.

ipconfig/renew
Step 3:

Now connect the voice server and the error should be resolve.

Check Anti-virus Program

Keep in mind that there is a possiblity when voice server connection is being blocked by your anti-virus. We don’t recommend turning off it but you can also add the Discord to its whitelist. If you can’t installed an anti-virus, you can still have Windows Defender and it might be blocking Discord.

Step 1:

Head over to the Settings app.

Step 2:

Move to Update & Security>Windows security and then tap on Open Windows Security.

Step 3:

Move to Firewall and network protection.

Step 4:

Tap ‘Allow an app through firewall’.

Step 5:

Tap Change Settings.

Step 6:

From the Control Panel window, check the app list and allow Discord through. If you can’t view see Discord, tap Add an app and choose Discord. Enable it to access private networks.

Disable VPN

A VPN might block Discord from connecting to a voice channel. After using a VPN service, disable and try to connect to the Discord voice channel.

Turn Off Quality Of Service High Packet Priority

Discord has a few features that are built to boost the quality of the messaging app. They do end up causing problems with the service at times.

Step 1:

Head over to Discord.

Step 2:

Then tap the cogwheel button under the left column.

Step 3:

Choose the ‘Voice & Video’ tab.

Step 4:

Move down to the Quality of Service section. Change the Enable Quality of Service High Packet Priority switch off.

Step 5:

Then relaunch Discord and then again join the voice channel.
