Once your AirPods are still under warranty and have limited battery life because of normal wear. Then Apple offers a $49 per AirPod battery replacement service. As it’s not in warranty battery replacement service that costs $69 per earbud or charging case.
By default, if your battery is defective and it’s covered by Apple’s warranty or consumer law. Then Apple will service it at no extra cost.
